THE INFANTS’ SECTION
The foundation of a healthy individual is laid in the Nursery with integrated development .Guru Nanak Public School is equipped with all facilities in the Nursery and Pre Nursery wing to raise a rich crop of students , brilliant in studies and ready to excel in every sphere of life The school employs the most modern and child friendly techniques for teaching the tiny-tots. Emphasis is laid on teaching the children through activities, use of tangible objects and exposure to real life experiences.
A free, joyful and caring atmosphere is provided where children can learn without feeling the strain of a school routine. The areas stressed upon are drawing , painting , singing, dancing and special programmes on cleanliness and healthy habits. Keeping abrest with these are routine medical checkups and competitions .Festivals like Gurpurabs , Christmas , Diwali etc. are also celebrated. Children learn faster in groups and thus they are involved in curriculum related project shows. To develop a good physique and motor skills children are made familiar with outdoor equipments for climbing , jumping , sliding and swimming . Fancy dress competitions are held to instill a spirit of confidence in them.
The Nursery Section has an Activity-cum-Toy Room with a rich collection of latest nursery equipment, imaginative games and creative toys. It also has a well-equipped and spacious ‘Play pen’, which provides an enthralling experience to the tiny-tots. To inculcate the spirit of environment protection , the child is taught to love plants and animals. These activities bring out talent in children and develop poise and personality Learning through playway method is the speciality of the Pre Nursery section. Specially designed aids are used to reduce written work and help in their physical and emotional growth.
